- The Department of Labor, Mine Safety & Health Administration, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) to Bellsouth Telecommunications, Inc. dba AT&T,2180 Lake Blvd. Atlanta, GA 30319-6004. The Mine Safety and Health Administration requires telephone service for everyday operations at offices located in Kentucky, Alabama, and Tennessee. Telephone service is a mission essential item. This action will result in a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance will commence on or about April 1, 2013 for a period of twelve (12) months. The NAICS code for this requirement is 517110, Wired Telecommunications Carriers. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There is no solicitation document. No RFQ will be available for competitive quotes.
