- This is a sources sought announcement seeking only small business responses in order to determine available small business participation in this acquisition. This is not a request for quotation (RFQ) or a request for proposal (RFP). No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. This request for information shall not be considered as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. The designated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 722310, Food Service Contractors, with a size standard of $35.5 Million. The Maryland Army National Guard (MDARNG) is conducting market research based on the following statement of work. The contractor shall provide (1) dining facility (DFAC) management; (2) plan menus for breakfast, lunch, box lunches & dinner meals; (3) ensure receipt and storage of subsistence; (4) provide food & beverage items; (5) requisition, prepare, cook, serve and replenish food items; (6) prepare, maintain and clean dining area; (7) clean all serving ware, utensils, equipment and facilities; (8) maintain facility maintenance and sanitation (TB Med 530 compliance); (9) perform headcount/cashier services; and (10) maintain quality control. DFAC location is Building E4225, Beal Road, Edgewood Area, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, 21010. Responses submitted should include (1) name and address of firm, phone/fax numbers, email address and point of contact; (2) DUNS Number and/or CAGE Code, if available; (3) type of small business, e.g., woman-owned, service-disabled veteran owned, small disadvantaged, hub-zone, etc.; (4) firm's experience; and (5) firm's past performance with federal, state and local government agencies and/or commercial entities within the last three (3) years.
