- THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. This is a notice of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's (BEP) intent to award a sole source procurement to KBA Notasys S.A. located at Avenue Du Grey 55 Lausanne Switzerland 1022 to provide proprietary preventive maintenance for two Rastelli RA7 Grinders at the Eastern Currency Facility located at 14 th & C Sts. SW Washington DC 20228. The awardee maintains proprietary rights pertaining to the manufacture and distribution of the machines and their associated servicing. This award is being made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1) wherein circumstances of the contract action deem only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination to compete this procurement based on a response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested parties who believe they possess the capability to satisfy this requirement should submit documentation that clearly demonstrates their ability to meet the requirement of the BEP. Responses to this notice shall be received no later than March 27, 2013 at 8 a.m. ET. All responses must be in writing and are to be sent via email to the point of contact specified in this notice. NOTHING HEREIN SHOULD BE MISCONSTRUED AS A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS, QUOTES OR BIDS. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENTATION IS AVAILABLE NOR WILL BE ISSUED.
