Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract to Alliant Techsystems of Clearwater, Florida for the procurement of an Automated Assembly Qualification for the 3-bit HARLID. The Government's intent is to satisfy an immediate operational requirement for deliveries to be completed nine months after contract award. This action is being awarded on a sole source basis to ATK of Clearwater, Florida. ATK shall conduct efforts to qualify a 3-bit HARLID built using a new, automated process. The authority permitting other than full and open competition is Title 10, U.S. Code 2304(c) (1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, "only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."
