Description

Request for Information (RFI) to provide prosthetic and orthotic appliances and related services as authorized by the local VAMC's to those Veterans in the VA's Northwest Network, VISN 20, who are eligible for assistance. The VISN 20 Prosthetics Procurement Team is conducting market research in an effort to develop a standing request for proposal to establish multiple IDIQ contracts to the maximum extent practicable for prosthetic and orthotic appliances and related services for Veterans throughout VISN20. This RFI is seeking information from sources interested in and/or capable of responding to a future RFP and any information received will be used to assist with that effort. A part of any future RFP will require potential Contractors to meet the minimum requirement s of accreditation and or licensure for these products and services. There will be a requirement to provide proof that contractor facilities are accredited by the facility accreditation program of the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc. (ABC), the facility accreditation program of the Board for Orthotist-Prosthetist Certification (BOC), or a facility accreditation program from an equivalent accreditation body. In addition, all contractors doing business within Washington State must show proof, and comply with, Washington State Licensure Law for Prosthetic and Orthotic Practitioners. (RCW 18.200). Important note: In order for a contractor to be eligible to provide services in a particular geographic area, the firm must own/operate an accredited facility in that area, or the firm must have a formal subcontract in place with a firm that owns/operates an accredited facility in that area. Mandatory requirements for ALL facilities include fitting, casting, waiting & changing/privacy rooms, and parallel bars for demonstrating fit/gait. The primary facility shall be open at least 3 business days per week, normal business hours. The Veterans Integrated Services Network (VISN) 20 includes the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
