Description

The Virginia Class Submarine Program, PMS450, has decided to eliminate the 400 Hz Weapons Power Supply and transition to 60 Hz for their Block IV and Block V configurations. The Contractor shall provide a Class I ECP. The Contractor shall complete all efforts necessary to design, develop, fabricate, qualify and integrate the Multi-Frequency AC/DC Converter within the Tactical Tomahawk Block (BLK) IV Capsule Launch System (CLS) configured All-Up-Round (AUR). The Multi-Frequency AC/DC Converter shall operate with the proposed 60 Hz input for Virginia Class Block IV and V submarines as well as maintain the current capability for 400 Hz legacy submarine platforms. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Missiles Systems (RMS), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337 (Point of Contact for Small Businesses interested in subcontracting - Karen Spencer - (520) 663-6934). RMS is the only known source capable of accomplishing this requirement in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
