- Description
- This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) program. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is Section 201 of the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949 (40 U.S.C. 501), as implemented by FAR 8.405-6. This task order will continue to provide DMDC required technical support services for the provision of a wide array of information technology user support, identification and authentication, and physical access control services. Specifically, DMDC has a requirement for database server installation and administration, communication engineering, outside continental United States (OCONUS) and information technology site and customer service support. Services include interaction with Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies worldwide to ensure operational effectiveness of DMDC programs and applications. In accordance with FAR 8.405-6 (a) (1) (i) (B) - Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.
