- Description
- The United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC) continues its Technology Information Exchange program. Since the program's inception in 2004, ARCIC has conducted over 88 TIEs. This effort brings industry/corporate/company representatives together with the TRADOC, ARCIC, Research, Development and Engineering Command, other Army S&T Organizations, and TRADOC Centers of Excellence, for a dialogue on emerging technologies that could support Army Warfighter Outcomes (WFOs). Organizations that participate in TIEs do not receive any financial reimbursement from the U.S. Army. TRADOC ARCIC, Concept Development and Learning Directorate, Science & Technology Division, 950 Jefferson Ave, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA 23604-5763. TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION EXCHANGE (TIE) - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). TRADOC ARCIC is continuing its TIE program. One purpose of this program is to establish dialogue with industry on corporate/company Independent Research and Development projects relating to identified WFOs. This program brings industry/corporate/company representatives together with the TRADOC ARCIC for a dialogue session on emerging technologies and desired Army force capabilities. Each TIE session is a distinct and separate presentation intended to facilitate executive level discussion between industry and the ARCIC regarding a company's independent research and development projects. TIE participant proprietary information will be safeguarded in accordance with FAR 3.104. A General Officer or equivalent from the ARCIC will host each session. The intent is to provide input to help industry focus their R&D programs (without any financial reimbursement) towards existing and future Army capabilities which will benefit both industry and the U.S. Army. This is a Request for Information in accordance with FAR 15.201(b). THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. RFIs are used to gather information from industry without any promise of a current or future contract or requirement. The TRADOC ARCIC will use the responses to this RFI to determine what emerging technologies may be available in the market place. This is not a request for contractual offers. Information provided cannot be used to create a binding contract. Respondents to this RFI will not be reimbursed for the information they provide to the ARCIC. This is a request for information from companies already conducting independent research and development in relevant areas, not a request for companies that may be able to conduct research. Only those companies with demonstrated success at addressing Department of Defense warfighting capabilities in their independent R&D programs are requested to respond. Detailed descriptions of the Army Warfighter Outcomes are available on the ARCIC website and can be obtained using the following instructions: 1. Go to http://www.arcic.army.mil/res-resources-a-z.aspx 2. Once the page opens scroll down to quote mark Army Warfighter Outcomes quote mark.
