- Description
- Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the Repair/Replace Deaerator Tank. Work includes: Replace the existing packaged low pressure steam boiler feedwater system that is located in Building 40. The feedwater system generally consists of the condensate surge tank, the condensate transfer pumps, the Deaerator, boiler feedwater pumps and controls. The project also includes replacing the existing chemical feed controller, four chemical pumps, and accessories necessary for a fully complete and properly operating feedwater and chemical feed system. The preceding work includes, but not necessarily limited to, removal and replacement of tubing and piping, valves, piping accessories, mechanical equipment, electrical conduit, electrical devices, electrical wiring, anchors and hangers, seismic restraint. It also includes the Direct Digital Control (DDC) system modification and integration required to remove and replace the existing equipment controls for the low pressure steam boiler feedwater system and the chemical feed system tie-in to the existing low pressure steam and condensate system and the existing DDC controls (Johnson Controls Energy Monitoring and Control System (EMCS). The work shall be performed by a general or mechanical, contractor which has 5 years, experience in boiler feedwater systems. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NGA, EPA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 233 days. The contractor shall be required to perform a certain amount of work between 30 May 2013 and 15 October 2013 to eliminate disruption of Government services as stated in section 01010 paragraph Z10 General Requirements. The approximate cost of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This work is located at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facilities at 3200 South Second Street, which is east of Broadway and south of Arsenal Street in the City of St. Louis. This project is 100 percent set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this project is 238220, size standard $14.0M.
