Description
BRAND NAME OR EQUAL SPECIFICATION Surgical Microscope System 1. SCOPE : This specification covers the requirements for a surgical microscope system for use during cataract and retina surgery. The surgical microscope system shall be Zeiss OPMI LUMERA 700 Surgical Microscope Zeiss part number 00000L7041776227 or equal with components listed in paragraph 3. The required surgical microscope system shall have the following salient characteristics. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS : At a minimum, the microscope system shall have the following characteristics/specifications:. •· The microscope system's optics shall be apochromatic. •· The microscope system shall have a magnification factor with a range of 0.4-2.4 •· The microscope system shall have a motorized zoom with a zoom ratio of 1:6 •· The microscope system shall have a motorized focus with a focus range of 70mm •· The microscope system shall have a motorized X-Y coupling with a maximum travel range of 61mmX61mm and with an automatic centering control. •· The microscope system shall have inclinable eyepiece head(s) with wide-field eyepieces (10x) •· The microscope system shall have objective lenses with f = 175mm •· The microspore system shall have an integrated keratoscope •· The microscope system shall have an integrated beam slitter •· The microscope system shall be fully HD video and HD video recording integrated. •· The microscope system shall have an integrated 22-inch HD Video Monitor •· The microscope system shall have an integrated HD camera. •· The microscope system shall have a floor stand. •· The microscope system's light source shall be a Xenon light source (with filters) or equal, that can provide a whiter, more natural light, higher contrast image of the surgical field than standard halogen illumination. •· The microscope system shall have a fully programmable wireless foot control panel. •· The microscope system shall have an integrated assistant's scope that can be used for training or active assistance. The assistant's scope shall have a motorized zoom control that can be synchronized with the microscope or controlled separately. The assistant's scope shall have inclinable eyepiece head(s) •· The microscope system shall have integrated components (non-contact type) that are capable to provide a retina wide-angle-viewing for retinal surgery. The system components shall have integrated inverters. The system components for retinal surgery shall include at least two different types of lens for retinal surgery (60D to 90D lens and 128D to 132D lens) 3. Each (EA) System plus accessories, as specified, constitutes one unit. 5. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. 5.1 Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. If the product covered by this document has been determined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to be under its jurisdiction, the offeror/ contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, and regulations promulgated thereunder. In addition, the offeror/contractor shall comply, and be responsible for compliance by its subcontractors/suppliers, with the requirements of all other applicable Federal, State, and local statutes, ordinances, and regulations. 5.2 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 23.403 to the maximum extent practical. 6. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 6.1 Contractor certification. The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this brand name or equal specification, and that the product conforms to the producers' own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial market-place. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 6.2 Metric products. Products manufactured to metric dimensions will be considered on an equal basis with those manufactured using inch-pound units. Dimensions and tolerances specified shall be converted using conversion tables contained in the latest revision of ASTM E 380. 7. PACKAGING. Preservation, packaging packing, labeling and marking. Shall be as specified in the contract and/or order. Specific requirements for this item are indicated in Section C, Description/Specification; general packaging and marking requirements are indicated in Section D, Packaging and Marking.
