Description

The Lebanon VA Medical Center has a requirement for Project No. # 595-11-126; CT/RAD room for ED. A Firm-Fixed Price Construction award is anticipated. Contractor shall provide management, supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, and materials and to perform work including demolition, general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical and certain other items as required by project drawings and specifications as required by project drawings and specifications in order to create a CT Scanner and Digital X-Ray room. The focus of this project is to renovate 1200 SF of Building 101, the Emergency Department, to create a CT Scanner room and a Digital X-Ray room, with associated spaces. All Infection Control measures will be needed for this critical area during construction. Contractor will be renovating for a site prep of these radiology machines, and be part of the installation process. The NAICS code for this project is 236220 with a SB size standard of $33.5M and the Product Service Code is Z2DZ- Repair or Alteration of Other hospital buildings. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Additionally, this acquisition will be conducted in accordance with FAR 14, Sealed Bidding. Solicitation documents, including technical specifications and project drawings, will be available electronically on or about April 15, 2013, at the following website: www.fbo.gov. Offerors will search for solicitation VA244-13-B-0643 to access solicitation documents and any Amendments. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO REGISTER TO RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF ACTIONS INCLUDING POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS. HOWEVER, OFFERORS ARE ADVISED TO CHECK THE SIGHT FREQUENTLY AS THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OBTAINING AMENDMENTS. The NAICS Code for this project is 236220. Project Magnitude: Between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract Completion Time will be three-hundred sixty-five (365) Calendar Days. One hundred twenty day bid acceptance period will be required. Bid bond, Payment and Performance bonds will be required. A pre-proposal conference will be announced in the solicitation and will be held at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. This pre-proposal conference is not mandatory; however, all potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. This will be the only site visit held. There will be no response to any other request for site visits. This will serve as the perfect opportunity for contractors to fully understand the project, as there will be representative(s) from engineering, contracting and the program office in attendance. Electronic or phone requests will not be accepted, nor will electronic proposals. Bidders are advised that it is your responsibility to review and monitor the website frequently to ensure you have the most up to date information, including amendments. All correspondence in reference to the solicitation contents or general questions must be addressed in writing on company letterhead, containing a point of contact, the SOL number, email address, phone and fax numbers and must be addressed to the contracting officer listed. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds in accordance with FAR 52.232-23, Availability of Funds (APR 1984).
