- On or about 16 April 2013, this office will issue Invitations for Bid for construction of the MAINTENANCE HANGAR 'LAMS-A', PN 81300, FORT CARSON, COLORADO. The solicitation will close on or about 16 May 2013. This solicitation is RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESS PARTICIPATION. Contractors interested in inspecting the site of the proposed work should contact the Fort Carson Restationing Resident Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 5011 Tevis Street, Building 298, Fort Carson, Colorado 80913; Telephone: 719-526-0532 'Attn: John Offen'. A tentative site visit date has been scheduled for 30 April 2013. Provisions in the solicitation documents will provide detailed information - meeting place, time, points of contact, and access requirements. See 'Obtaining Solicitation Documents' below. Project Description: This is a Fully-Designed Project. The work consists of construction that provides infrastructure to support placement of two temporary Maintenance Hangars 'LAMS-A' located at Fort Carson, Colorado. The temporary Maintenance Hangars are not in this contract. Infrastructure includes providing two concrete pads to serve as hangar floors and foundations, two asphalt hangar access aprons, rotary-wing towways and parking positions for each LAMS, fire water line for fire protection, supporting electrical power and communications service, site lighting, fire alarm and mass notification system requirements and lightning protection systems, and temporary rotary wing apron for helicopter parking positions. The estimated construction cost of this project is between$1,000,000 and 2,000,000.
