- Rock Island Arsenal Joint Manufacturing & Technology Center (RIA-JMTC) is looking for interested companies that can provide Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Services for Expendable Tooling used throughout RIA-JMTC's manufacturing center. VMI is defined as managing a contract account in accordance with generally accepted VMI industry practices, which optimize supply chain performance. This includes, but is not limited to, the resupply of designated items by the vendor through regularly scheduled reviews of on-site inventory counts, removal of damaged items, and the restocking of inventory to predetermined levels. General: -The contractor shall provide, install, stock, and maintain determined stock levels within the dispensing machines. - Expendable Tooling includes (but not limited to) items such as machine drills, inserts, taps, drill tips, etc. Items will vary manufacturers and models based on RIA-JMTC's current workload. -Machines will be used and placed on a production shop floor; Contractors shall have the ability to provide machines that hold-up to heavy usages and uncontrolled environment elements. -Capable of handling variety of size tooling. -Allow for secure access. -Capable of providing detailed reports of items dispensed, etc. North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 333515 Contractors that recognize and can provide the required services described above are encouraged to provide the following information: Company Name, Company Phone Number, Email Address, Street Address, CAGE Code, Business Size under the stated NAICS code, and a Point of Contact (POC) for further questions.
