- The Contracting Department, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to purchase on a sole source basis, repair services for Locomotive Remote Controls. The proposed contract action will be Firm Fixed Price and will utilize procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor is Control Chief Corporation. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 335314. The size standard is 750 employees. The anticipated start date is April 18, 2012. The anticipated period of performance is a one year base period with four one-year options, with options to extend services in accordance with FAR 52.217-8. The solicitation, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments issued will be in electronic form. THE RFQ IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. When the Request for Quote (RFQ) is issued, it may be downloaded by accessing https://www.neco.navy.mil. This office no longer issues hardcopy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
