- Description
- This is a small business set-aside under the 8(a) program. The Department of Interior, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, has a requirement for advanced scientific support services. As part of the USGS Climate and Land Use Change Mission Area, EROS contributes to the USGS Land Remote Sensing (LRS), Land Change Science (LCS), Research and Development (R&D) Programs, Carbon Sequestration, and National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Centers. EROS mission is to contribute to the understanding of a changing Earth. The intent of this procurement is to acquire non-personal advanced and specialized scientific knowledge and research expertise and its application to support the USGS EROS Center in fulfilling its science mission. Workforce skills include, but are not limited to, hydrology, geology, geography, climatology, ecology, forestry, pedology, remote sensing, geographic information systems, spatial modeling, mathematics, statistics, and computer science. This will be based on a performance based Statement of Work. Performance based specifications express the Government's requirements in the form of the minimum quality standards to be met. The contractor shall determine the optimal work schedule, frequency, resource allocations and performance methods, unless specifically stated otherwise in the performance based statement of work. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the RFP electronically at http://Fedconnect.gov All interested offerors responding to this Request for Proposals should download the solicitation from the website given and provide a written response by the due date indicated on the solicitation. Only written responses received by the due date will be accepted. Telephone and/or fax requests will not be accepted. This solicitation is being issued as a competitive 8(a) set-aside. The resultant contracts will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 19 Small Business Programs.
