Description

THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT for Construction of Reinforcement for Patient Lifts Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Network 21 (VISN 21), Network Contracting Office 21(NCO 21) will be issuing a solicitation as an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for Project Number: 459-11-601 located at VA Pacific Islands Health Care System, 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu HI 96819. Scope of Work includes but not limited to - contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, expertise, administration, supervision and transportation as necessary to perform all work to construct building roof reinforcement in 15 patient rooms at the Center for Aging (CFA). This is required to provide adequate support of ceiling mounted patient lift system. The NAICS code for this procurement will be 236220 (Commercial and Institutional Building Construction) $33.5M. Project Magnitude is $500,000 - $1,000,000. The Government intends to ISSUE THIS SOLICITATION AS A TOTAL SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE IN ACCORDANCE WITH PUBLIC LAW 109-461 for an award of a firm fixed price contract in accordance with all terms, conditions, provisions, specifications, drawings and schedules of the solicitation. All bidders shall be registered on www.sam.gov prior to receiving a government contract award. The solicitation will be issued on/about April 30, 2013. Qualified contractors are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal conference / site visit. The exact date and further details shall be provided in the solicitation. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. www.fbo.gov Further details will be provided in the solicitation.
