- The purpose of this amendment is to provide technical clarification to offerors on solicitation N68335-13-R-0065 as follows: Question: Will the Navy accept only the SULLAIR compressor, or is an alternate compressor acceptable? Answer: As a result of discussions with the technical subject matter expert, an alternate compressor cannot be accepted. Last year, the Navy procured two (2) of these same SULLAIR compressors for the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer Pilot Production (First Article) units. The A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer's design and testing are based on the SULLAIR specifications, and the provisioning process (including such tasks as spares support, technical manual, training, etc.) was initiated last year based on the SULLAIR compressors. Due to duplication of cost, there cannot be two (2) different compressors in the fleet to support the A/M32U-21 Maintenance Trailer. The Navy will only accept the SULLAIR compressor described in the combined synopsis/solicitation. The combined synopsis/solicitation closing date is not changed.
