Description

The Contractor shall perform SPALT K i t D e velopment, In stal l ation and Chec k o u t. Specifically, the Contractor shall write a SPA L T 30361 D ocu m ent for c orrection of issues discovered during the SSI Incre m ent I SPALT 30285 i ns t a llatio n s. It shall c ontain i nstructions for installation a n d verification testing. The contractor w ill package and deploy a SPALT kit and p e r form SPALT 30361 on four ( 4) UK S S B Ns, and three (3) UK Land Based Facilities. Included in t h i s effort are the pre d eployment planning activities such as a POA&M, Memos of Agreement (MOA ), c o o rdinat i o n w i t h site Navy/Contr a c t or personnel for installations, development o f Tagout plan n i ng and proces s i n g o f WAF documents. Negotia t i ons w ill be conducted with Gen e r al Dynamic Advanced Inform a t i on Systems (GDAIS), Pittsfield, MA. G D A I S is the s o l e manufactur e r of t h e T RID E NT (II) D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) Fire Control system and Attack Weapons Control system and the only source with the in-depth knowledge, expertise, and in-place capability to perform the required effort.
