Description

CORRECTION: The Solicitation issued date is being changed to April 3, 2013. The Wilmington VA Medical Center Contracting Office, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price Service Contract Award to a Small Business to obtain Elevator Inspection Services, as described in the Scope of Work at the Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333921 with a size standard of 500 employees. The Solicitation issue date will be approximately April 3, 2013 with an approximate response date of April 24, 2013. A pre-bid/quote meeting and site visit if needed is scheduled for April 9, 2013 at 3:00pm in Building #1 (Main Hospital), Room 1022. Contractors are encouraged to read the entire Solicitation and send questions to the Contracting Officer before the pre-bid meeting. The Solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ) and will be issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The Contractor shall provide all Inspection, Engineering, Management, Supervision, Manpower, Materials, Supplies, and Equipment and shall plan, schedule, coordinate, and assure effective performance of all inspection services for the elevators, dumbwaiters, and other vertical transport equipment of the Wilmington, DE VA Medical Center listed in the Statement of Work (referred to collectively in this contract as "elevator equipment"). During the term of this contract, elevator equipment may be added or deleted from this contract as equipment is replaced, added, or removed from service at the Facility. Any such change shall be reflected in a written modification to this contract, signed by the Contractor and the Contracting Officer. The Solicitation will result in a Firm-Fixed Priced Contract. The entire Solicitation will be made available only on the Electronic Posting System (EPS) web site https://www.fbo.gov Paper copies of the Solicitation will not be available. The SOW, contract drawings and specifications will be available when the solicitation is posted. Once the Solicitation is posted, it's incumbent upon the interested parties to review the EPS website frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
