- The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Pacific Coastal & Marine, has a requirement for an I-Site Studio Software License, version 3.5 Point Cloud Processing Software and one (1) year software maintenance support. This software capabilities include: 64 operating system, despiking of triangulations, auto generation of toe/crest lines, cross section view, the ability to crop triangulation by polygon, ability to create 3D PDF, smart select and smart line tools, external photo registration, ability to filter to topography, ability to filter by surface proximity, filtering of isolated points, color by surface proximity, poly/lasso selection (in addition to the standard rectangle selection), query surface validation and problem report, project cad object to surface, assign attributes, combination surface (update), geotechnical modeling tools including: stereonet/change detection/discontinuities/rose diagram/great circle/dip and strike, freehad manipulation for translation and rotation of data, ability to quickly display and animate very large point clouds from multiple scans, ability to display a narrow slice of data from a 2D perspective, and incrementally advance this slice through the point cloud (aids in visualization), and ability to filter data by vertical separation from a surface model. This allows us to filter points that lie far away from a bare-earth surface (i.e. remove vegetation). Maptek a.k.a. KRJA Systems, Lakewood, CO is, to the USGS's knowledge, the only known source to publish this software. Therefore, the government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) to KRJA Systems. Other interested concerns having the ability to meet the USGS requirement may submit a capabilities statement to the Contracting Officer no later than the closing date of this announcement at 0700 Pacific Time. All submissions will be evaluated to determine if competitive opportunities exist. If no competitive opportunities exist, solicitation G13PS00292 will be made available to KRJA Systems on or about 04/04/2013. This notice and any resulting solicitation or purchase order conforms to the requirements in place through FAC 2005-66, effective 01 Apr 2013. NAICS 511210 - Software Publishers, for which the associated size standard is $25.0 million.
