Description
Justication for Other Than Full and Open Competition for Relocate of the Solely Owned Carolina Telephone and Telegraph (Centurly Link) Provided Point of Demarcation equipment and cabling for Telecommunications Services for USCG Base Elizabeth City, NC The purpose of this notice is to post the Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition (JOFOC)for the award of the sole source Purchase Order HSCG79-13-P-331012 under Solicitation HSCG79-13-Q-331012 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 to Relocate the Solely Owned Carolina Telephone and Telegraph (Century Link) Provided Point of Demarcation equipment and cabling for Telecommunications Services for USCG Base Elizabeth City, NC from its current location in Building #61 to the new ESD/CIV PERS building (#62) due to the planned demolition of building #61. Description of Supplies/Services: The scope of the project is to extend the Telco Solely Owned Fiber optic and Copper Telecommunications Entrance Cables approximately five hundred fifty (550) feet from BLDG #61 to BLDG #62, the new Base Telecommunications Main Frame and Main Point of Appearance for the Telco Services. Move the Base Dmarc for BLDG #61 to the new Dmarc location in BLDG #62. Provision and program the necessary equipment and cabling in such a maner as to minimize down time. The equipment owner Century Link Telephone is the only one that can relocate their solely owned equipment and extend their solely owned cabling and can provide the required support for a smooth transition.
