Description
The National Park Service seeks a contractor to provide all materials, labor and equipment to repair and paint Mt. Locust Tank and install security fences as described below. Magnitude of this project is $100,000 to $150,000. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237110 with a size standard of $33.5 Million. Project Overview: INTRODUCTION: The Natchez Trace Parkway owns and operates a 15,000-gallon elevated water storage tank, located at Mount Locust (MP 15.5) of the Parkway. The Trace also owns and operates an elevated water tank and an underground tank at Coles Creek (MP 17.5) and Jacks Branch (MP 378). The Government desires to install a 6 plus barbed wire security fence around these tanks and to repair and paint the Mount Locust Elevated Storage Tank. SCOPE OF WORK: There are two parts to this contract: Part 1, Major Maintenance - The contractor shall perform all work necessary to bring the condition of the tank up to a level whereby the tank will be accepted into the contractors tank maintenance program. This work includes sandblasting, cleaning, repairing, and painting the interior and exterior of the tank. Part 2, Security In order to reduce the possibility of damage, the Contractor will install a 6 tall chain link fence with 3 strands of barbed wire and signage. Each tank will require a 12 gate and locking mechanism. This notice is not the solicitation, the solicitation will be posted on or about April 18, 2013, with Request for Proposals due on May 21, 2013. Selection will be made based on the Best Value to the Government, considering Price, Key Personnel, and Past Experience. All three factors will be judged equally by the source selection authority.
