- Description
- PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT AS OF 3 APRIL 2013, THE PROPOSED INDUSTRY DAY (TENTATIVELY SCHEDULED FOR EARLY APRIL) HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FALL 2013. FURTHER INFORMATION IN REGARDS TO THE INDUSTRY DAY WILL BE POSTED ON OR AROUND FALL 2013. The Baltimore District Corps of Engineers' Real Property Services Field Office (RSFO) will be holding an Industry Day for an upcoming $2.5 Billion Multiple Award Task Order Construction Contract (MATOC). The purpose of this Industry Day is to brief interested parties on the acquisition strategy, provide a networking opportunity for small businesses and to generate interest in the MATOC. This MATOC will award very large task orders for construction projects. Task orders may be either Design-Build (DB) or Design-Bid-Build (DBB). The magnitude of projects will be between $30M and $750M. The intended approach is the award of between three and five contracts for the MATOC pool. These projects will support the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense customers and other Federal agencies. The contractors will be responsible for all aspects of construction and design (on DB task orders) to perform a broad range of construction services including new construction, repair, rehabilitations and/or alterations to existing buildings and also, demolition, infrastructure projects, interior fit-up, communications, security and force protection (AT/FP) projects in support of construction efforts. Projects will include SCIF construction, data centers, highly complex mechanical and electrical systems and experience in these types of work will be paramount. Projects may be awarded throughout the Continental United States and Hawaii with the focus of the projects in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor. Currently, RSFO is looking to hold the Industry Day around early April. If you are interested in attending the Industry Day, please send an email to Melissa.A.Svetich2@usace.army.mil. Responses are required by COB 15 March 2013. Once the level of interest is determined, we will post another notice with the venue details, date and time and instructions for attendance. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Government to enter into any acquisition for any products or services. No solicitation document exists at this time.
