- Description
- The HH-60H Tactical Data System Upgrade (TDSU) is designed to replace the current Navy HH-60H Tactical Data System (ASN-150) with a new system with sufficient processing capability and memory required for future capability growth. To assist in this planning, the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) is issuing this Sources Sought (SS)/Capability Request for Information (SSS/CRFI) to obtain market insight into potential solutions and sources capable of meeting the requirements of the HH-60H Tactical Data System Upgrade. It is anticipated that the US Navy will replace the HH-60H Tactical Data System (ASN-150) on 35 aircraft with training systems and support in place (initial spares, support equipment, technical data) with contract planning beginning in FY-16. The US Navy anticipates the HH-60H Tactical Data System Upgrade (TDSU) will be an existing Tactical Data System with modifications using existing mature technology with integration of existing subsystems to support existing HH-60H functionality and provide resources for future growth functionality; such as Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS), Required Navigation Performance (RNP) Area Navigation (RNAV) and Integrated Mechanical Diagnostics Systems (IMDS). Interested offeror(s) need to present a proposed solution and describe how their solution meets all the current and future requirements. If an interested offeror(s) has more than one solution to discuss, a separate response for each is required. Interested offeror(s) must describe their solutions' compatibility and comparability to the given requirements; delivery schedules, program risk (schedule and technical) and other technical information of potential solutions. Interested offeror(s) must be able to demonstrate suitability of the final products for the intended utilization, and must have a proven track record to meet both established delivery schedules and budget parameters. Teaming arrangements with sub-contractors are encouraged in order to respond to this announcement. The information received in response to this announcement will be used by Government to determine the most feasible acquisition approach. This synopsis is for market research only and should any procurement result from this announcement, it will be published separately on the Federal Business Opportunities website. Interested offeror(s) shall provide a capability profile which consists of an introduction statement, system approach summary, detailed design to include pictures/figures/drawings, and suitability of the final product for the intended use. Please provide as much detail as possible. Your written response must be received by this agency no later than 4:00 P.M EST. May 31, 2013. Contractor format accepted. Please mail all written correspondence to the Naval Air System Command, Attention Ms. Erika Griffin, Contracts Specialist, 47123 Buse Road Patuxent River, MD 20670. All other questions and/or comments shall be put in writing and e-mailed to the attention of Ms. Lisa Maples at lisa.m.maples@navy.mil. If you have any questions regarding this announcement please contact Ms. Erika Griffin at 301-757-5398.
