- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a sole-source, Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee, IDIQ contract to Raytheon Company, Tucson AZ for the depot level repair of Sparrow Guidance Control Sections (GCSs): AIM/RIM-7M (F1), AIM/RIM-7M (H-Build), & AIM/RIM-7P, including associated assemblies, subassemblies, components, and subcomponents for a one (1) year base award and four (4) one-year options. The Contractor will provide parts, material, services and data to test, analyze and repair units, assemblies, subassemblies, components, and subcomponents as required to return the GCSs to serviceable condition. The Contractor will also provide the necessary material and services to refurbish and maintain test equipment. This effort will repair up to 500 GCSs and 1,000 subassemblies for domestic and Foreign Military Sales customers. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, NAVAIR intends to award this effort on a sole-source basis. The test equipment required for this effort is currently installed at Raytheon and is in use on other contracts. Therefore, a second set of test equipment would need to be procured if this effort were competed. However, the estimated cost to procure a second set of test equipment is prohibitively expensive. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The purpose of this synopsis is for information and planning purposes only. In accordance with FAR 5.207, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
