Description
The Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Benning, Georgia anticipates extending the existing Base Operations (BASOPS) Support Services task order, W911SE-07-D-0006-2B01, with Exelis Systems Corporation, 655 Space Center Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80915-3604 for an additional nine (9) months six (6) days pending award of a follow-on contract. The task order is for the delivery of complex services for performance of an entire Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) mission (except food services), which was previously contracted out through an OMB Circular A-76 public-private cost competition. This task order has a Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) arrangement funded with Operation and Maintenance Army (OMA) and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) funding. The LRC mission of providing logistic support to Fort Benning consists of the following mission critical divisions: Plans and Operations Division provides logistical and technical support for Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS), quality assurance, command supply discipline program, awards program, hazardous materials management plan, contract administration budget, and management controls.. Maintenance Division provides field and sustainment level support for installation maintenance and unit equipment, Modification Work Order (MWO) and warranty programs, and Left Behind Equipment (LBE) and RESET support. In addition, Maintenance Division operates the Crescenz Consolidated Equipment Pool that contains approximately 50,000 items of training support equipment that MCoE uses to train soldiers. Supply and Services Division manages all classes of supply (except medical), installation property through the Installation Property Book Office and Installation Supply Support Activity, the Central Issue Facility, the Clothing Initial Issue Point, the Centralized Hazardous Materials Control Center, the Ammunition Supply Point, the Bulk Fuel and Packaged POL facility, Aircraft Refueling, Food Services, and Laundry and Dry Cleaning Support. The latter 2 are each under contracts separate from this one. Transportation Division provides contract oversight for Personal Property Movement and Storage, Personnel Movements/Official Travel, Material Movements (i.e. Freight Operations), General Services Administration non-tactical vehicle fleet, 4 Transportation Motor Pools (Fort Benning Main Post, Fort Benning Sand Hill, Camp Frank D. Merrill, Dahlonega, Georgia, and Camp James E. Rudder, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida), licensing operations, railhead operations, shipment of hazardous materials, the Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group, and the CONUS Replacement Center. The existing task order expires 23 May 2013. The period of performance for the extension is 24 May 2013 through 1 March 2014. This extension will provide continuity of service until a new follow-on contract is awarded.
