Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The Veterans Affairs (VA), Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) has a requirement to procure a Tablet/Capsule Automation (TCA) System and a Unit-of-Use Automation (UUA) system. The contractors shall supply one or both items. The TCA system shall consists of an on-line production system, an off-line replenishment system, and an automated mail packaging system. The UUA shall consist of hardware and sufficient capacity to meet the production needs of the CMOP. Each system shall include all ancillary support equipment for seamless integration into the existing production architecture. If two awards are made the contractors will be responsible for coordinating their equipment into an integrated pharmaceutical dispensing system. These systems will share the same database but process independently of each other. The system will need to occupy the existing facility footprint, integrate with current operations software, and minimize changes/additions to the current hardware and support equipment. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, support, travel and all other items needed to perform services in connection with this activity. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 333249 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This solicitation is Full and Open competition (unrestricted). The Government anticipates awarding two firm fixed price contracts. The TCA and the UUA systems shall perform in accordance with the Statements of Work that will be included in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency. There will be two awards issued for this solicitation. Solicitation Package VA797M-13-R-0157 shall be posted on Fedbizopps on or about April 26, 2013. No solicitation packages will be mailed. Responses must be concise and be specifically directed to the requirement referenced above. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor Fedbizopps for changes or amendments.
