Description

The South Dakota Science and Technology Authority (SDSTA), under an anticipated subcontract with Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (FNAL) through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is planning to conduct an open competitive procurement process to select an Architectural and Engineering (A/E) services contractor for the Long Baseline Neutrino Experiment (LBNE) Far Site Conventional Facilities (CF), which are located at the Sanford Underground Research Facility (SURF) in Lead, South Dakota. The general scope of work will be to provide professional A/E Buildings and Site Infrastructure Design, and construction-phase design services for SDSTA to support FNAL's LBNE Far Site CF, which include a surface location of a Liquid Argon Far Detector, and to execute upcoming phases of the project, which include preliminary design, final design, and A/E services during contractor selection, and construction of the CF on the surface at SURF. Bidders Conference A bidders conference is scheduled for April 25, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. MT via remote web conference. No site visits will be performed prior to bid. A selected short list will be asked to provide oral presentations at the SURF facility.
