- Job Description: Construct an Administration Facility and Dining Hall at the Presidio of Monterey, California. The General Administration building is required to provide administrative support for the barrack operations for the Navy and Marine students. The building is a 2-story steel-frame structure with exterior CMU block approximately 14,300 SF. Located adjacently; the Dining Facility is a 26,500 SF, 1-story, steel-frame structure with insulated concrete forms (ICF) panel exterior walls and is designed to serve 1300 personnel over a 90 minute period. Work includes grading, site preparations, paved parking and other related site work including landscaping, utilities, walkways, curbs & gutters/drainage system, communication lines, exterior lighting and other more minor site work. Portions of the utilities will need to be relocated to accommodate construction of these two buildings. These facilities are designed under current Force Protection Requirements and require connection to the Energy Monitoring and Control System and installation of an Intrusion Detection System. They are also designed to accommodate access for disabled staff & individuals and will be constructed to follow the requirements of Sustainable Design & Development (SDD) and the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 05). For the construction of the Dining Facility, the administrative portion of B629 (located on south end of B629) will be demolished and partially reconstructed to be a part of the new facility. Acquisition Information: This acquisition is proceeding as a Total Small Business set-aside Request for Proposal (RFP) and only Small businesses may respond. Estimated Cost Range is between ($10,000,000 - $25,000,000) Period of Performance for Construction: 730 Days. This Procurement will be conducted under FSC Code: Y1AZ, NAICS Code: 236220. The size standard for this code is $33,500,000. A site visit/pre-proposal conference will be scheduled on or about two weeks after the solicitation is issued, at the Presidio of Monterey, CA. More information will be identified in the Solicitation. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about April 26, 2013, for downloading at the Government's website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. No paper copies will be issued. The specific date and time will be identified in the solicitation. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. ORDERING SOLICITATION: Plans and specifications will NOT be provided in hard paper copy or CD-ROM format. The solicitation and all amendments for this acquisition will be posted on a secure Government website known as FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) once the RFP is issued. Viewing/downloading documents from FedBizOpps will require prior registration in System for Award Management (www.sam.gov).
