MARKET SURVEY/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION TITLE: Electronic Display System Modification for a Gulfstream IV in accordance with Aircraft Service Change 476A (ASC-476A) PURPOSE: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Flight Inspection Services (FIS) is seeking interested sources that are capable of providing display modifications in a Gulfstream IV in accordance with ASC-476A. This service change modernizes the SPZ-8000/ SPZ-8400 Electronic Display System (EDS) by replacing the existing Primary Flight Display (PFD), Navigation Display (ND) and Engine Instrument Crew Alerting System (EICAS) displays. The six existing DU-880 Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT) will be replaced with new DU-885 Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD). Additionally, this service change includes activation and subscription service agreements for Integrated Navigation Data Service (INDS) for Honeywell/Jeppesen graphical Charts/Maps and XM Satellite Weather. This market survey is to identify vendors capable of providing the required modifications for Flight Inspection Services (FIS) in accordance with the published aircraft service change 476A. Vendors should provide a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimate and capability statement, for planning purposes only, to complete the entire modification for one Gulfstream IV, as well as any additional effort required to meet the requirement. The responses to this market survey will be used for informational purposes only. This is not a screening information request or request for proposal of any kind. The FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. All interested parties are advised that the FAA will not pay for any information or any administrative costs incurred that are associated with any response received from industry in response to this market survey/RFI. Any information provided under this market survey is for informational purposes only and will not be released. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation in any informational sessions is not a promise of future business with the FAA. All responses (one response per company) are to be provided on company letterhead and include a brief synopsis (30 pages or less) describing the modification process and cost estimate for planning purposes. Vendors should identify the equipment as well as any other effort or unique requirements that may be needed in order to implement the required modification. Please provide information regarding your firm s services and size and types of similar services/equipment provided by previous contracts. Please provide a completed Business Declaration. Responses must be received no later than 2:00 P.M., Central Time on 24 April, 2013. Market survey responses received after the time and date specified will be determined to be late and may not be considered.
