- Specifications of the MITEQ Amplifiers Request for Brand Name - MITEQ Amplifiers DESCRIPTION: Notice of Contract Action. The AFTC Contracting Directorate (AFTC/PZIEB), Edwards AFB intends to issue a Brand Name, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to MITEQ, Inc., 100 Davids Drive, Hauppauge, NY. The applicable NAICS Code is 334220. The following is a brief description of the acquisition requirements. The government requires: 2 ea., Model No.: TTA1800-30-HG, MITEQ Amplifiers; and 1 ea. Model No.: TTA1800-35-HG MITEQ Amplifier. The designer/manufacturer is MITEQ, Inc. The requested amplifiers required as part of support of the Combat Electromagnetic Environment Simulator at Edwards AFB, CA. A Request for Brand Name Purchase Justification is attached to this notice. There are no solicitation documents; however, contractors that feel they can meet this requirement should submit a complete technical package, providing clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the requirement. In addition, the response should include verification of the Offeror's Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items in accordance to FAR 52.212-3. If the offeror does not have a copy of this provision, go to http://www.sam.gov/ to load required information. Any responses received without completing this registration will be considered noncompliant. Further, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Responses must be received no later than 18 April 2013, 4:00 PM PST. Responses shall be submitted electronically at terence.vickers@edwards.af.mil, unless otherwise agreed upon submission terms. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received by the response date stated above. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurements. Telephone requests to be placed on a mailing list will not be honored.
