***Please note that the Solicitation # provided above is incorrect and should read FA8224-13-T-0048*** This announcement constitutes a notice for the intent to issue a sole source solicitation resulting in an award to JEOL USA, INC. of Peabody, MA. AFSC/OL:H/PZIMB Services and Commodities Section, Hill AFB UT intends to issue a solicitation and award to JEOL USA, INC. on a sole source basis for the onetime inspection of two (2) JEOL Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM) located in Building 100, Bay D, at Hill AFB, UT, as needed, and a one-year option for preventative maintenance (PM) and service/repair of the SEMs that may be exercised following the onetime equipment inspection. JEOL, the proposed source, is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). JEOL's specification and standards are proprietary and are not releasable; therefore, JEOL is the only authorized source for parts, maintenance, service, and repair of the SEM systems. Other sources who believe they are capable of supplying the above stated requirement may submit a capability statement and quotation which shall be considered by the agency if received prior to award.
