- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION OR AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF A SOLICITATION. This is to identify sources that can perform Freight Forwarding Services for JFRC 5-ton Containers in Japan. Firms who are interested should respond electronically to Ms Masayo Inoue via email at masayo.inoue.jp@us.af.mil. by 10 May 2013 including the following: (1) name and address of firm; (2) a point of contact with name, title, phone, fax, and email; (3) cage code and DUNS number (if available). = Description of Service = The Contractor shall perform freight forwarding services for JFRC 5-ton containers and related services, in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions of this contract and applicable Government of Japan (GOJ) laws, JFRC regulations and trade practices. The areas of performance shall be throughout Japan (less Okinawa) to meet transportation requirements. The anticipated performance start date is 1 Sep 2013. (Subject to change) NOTE: THIS PROJECT WILL BE PERFORMED IN ITS ENTIRETY IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFEROR MUST BE LICENSED AND REGISTERED TO PERFORM THE SERVICES IN THE COUNTRY OF JAPAN. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not considered a commitment by the government. The government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this sources sought. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps). It is the responsibility of the potential offers to monitor the site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Any information provided to the government is strictly voluntary and will be provided at no cost to the government.
