Description
MODIFICATION TO REVISE ANTICIPATED RELEASE DATE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport has a requirement for services to remove sound dampening material from Government furnished MK48 torpedo shells. The torpedo shells are aluminum torpedo shells with an exterior protective anodized coating. The sound dampening material is a neoprene rubber pad with embedded lead shot. A 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 541712 (1,000 employees) is anticipated. The contract will be a five (5) year, Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The contract is anticipated to include a First Article Test CLIN and CLINs for each year of performance. Award will be based on a best value criteria which shall include technical criteria, past performance, and total evaluated price. Detailed procurement requirements and Best Value evaluation factors will be released upon issuance of the RFP N66604-13-R-1211, which is anticipated on or about 15 May 2013.
