- The above solicitation is hereby amended to add questions and answers add NEW language to the RFQ: QUESTION: What is the operating environment? Is this in a laboratory, an industrial setting, or something else? Any details you can provide would be appreciated. ANSWER: This laser will only be used in a controlled NIST lab environment. Question: Should the quotation include all necessary electronics and chillers, or is only the laser head required? ANSWER: The laser must include all electronics, chillers and ancillary equipment to make it function in the lab. It should be a complete system running under the electrical and chiller requirements in the specs. NEW Additional language is added: TRADE-IN CREDIT: The Government has the following equipment available for trade-in credit: The current laser (Spectra Physics Evolution X) that no longer functions because it now only delivers 7 Watts of power. It is no longer servicable. The Contractor may provide a trade-in credit for the above equipment. Proposed trade-in credit shall be applied to the total amount of the quotation during price evaluation. Under Evalution factors: 1. Price will be evaluated for reasonableness and shall include pricing inclusive of any trade-in discount. Proposed trade-in credit shall be applied to the total amount of the quotation during price evaluation. The due date and time, 12pm EST is STILL April 18, 2013 and only timely responses shall be considered for award.
