This production contract includes but is not limited to Build New UH-1Ys and Build New AH-1Zs, to be contracted for on a firm fixed price basis. The effort consists of procuring and fabricating components; integrating and installing Contractor furnished and Government furnished equipment; assembly; testing; and delivery of UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft. Requirements also include but are not limited to Systems Engineering/Program Management (SE/PM); Support Equipment and Tooling; publications; logistics support; quality assurance; reliability and maintainability programs; technical, administrative, and financial data requirements; spares; and provisional supplies and services for training, logistics, engineering and administrative support. Aircraft requirements for the Lot 11 procurement consist of an estimated 15 Build New UH-1Ys and 12 Build New AH-1Zs. Actual aircraft quantities procured will be in accordance with quantities approved by Congress. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2), in that BHTI is the only responsible source and no other type of equipment will satisfy Marine Corps requirements.
