Item Description: Medtronic, Inc., Remote Monitoring Systems, an internet and telephone (landline and cellular) based service using remote monitoring equipment that provides the capability for Clinicians to monitor the Patient's implanted cardiac device and gather related data similar to what is required in an office visit. Unique Qualifications: The Prosthetics Sensory Aids Service (PSAS) has determined that the need for the remote monitoring system for Medtronic, Inc., devices is required for the following reasons: Remote monitoring allows close follow-up of device function without clinic visits.
