- Description
- This is a synopsis/pre-solicitation notice for service of a Large Cavitation Channel (LCC) Medium Voltage Equipment (1 kV to 35 kV). It is intended to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) on a 100% small business set-aside basis. The RFQ will provide details with regard to scope, location, period of performance, etc. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Philadelphia has established a requirement for service on the Large Cavitation Channel (LCC). The power for LCC operations is provided through the LCC Substation (Sub 7). Two known equipment failures must be repaired/refurbished to ensure proper and safe operations of the substation equipment. In addition, all equipment in the substation needs to be inspected and serviced to ensure proper and safe operations and to identify any deficiencies that require future repairs/refurbishment. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and does not constitute a solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 335331. Upon its release, the RFQ will be made available electronically at https://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://neco.navy.mil. A hard copy of the RFQ will not be made available. Offerors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. See https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM / for further information and instructions. The RFQ is expected to be released on or after 26 April 2013. The closing date for receipt of responses will be established in the RFQ. For further questions regarding this announcement, please contact Byron J. Roth, via email at byron.roth@navy.mil. Phone calls will not be accepted.
