Description

This service is being competed Other Than Full and Open Competition, FAR 6.302-1. The Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada (ITCN) will provide statewide training to 22 tribal community's advising how the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Indian Health Care improvement Act (IHCIA) key provisions will impact each tribal community. ITCN is uniquely qualified to fulfill the ACA requirement. As an Indian organization, organized, and lead by Nevada tribal leaders, ITCN has the mission to orchestrate and execute common issues among the tribes of Nevada. ITCN is familiar with all tribal governments and has worked closely with these tribes on health care issues since ITCN's inception. The ITCN is knowledgeable of reservation demographics, tribal sovereignty, and of tribal health care needs. ITCN possesses the cultural sensitivity necessary to approach and work closely with tribes in preparation for the ACA changes affecting health care. ITCN is the preferred organization because their existing intimate relationship with large target population of the 22 rural tribal governments that will be participating in the training initiative.
