The Federal Aviation Administration, Northwest Mountain Region, Western Service Area, is conducting a Market Survey/Request for Information to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources. Responses to this market survey will be used to determine if there is adequate competition to set the requirement aside for Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDB/8(a)), Small Businesses, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), etc. This survey is being conducted in accordance with FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. This survey will support market research obtained from multiple sources and will be utilized for planning purposes only. The purpose of this Market Survey is to seek competent and qualified contractors to perform all work necessary for the installation of Runway 12 MALSR at the Oakland International Airport. The following is the summary of work. The NAICS Code for this is: 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. Estimated cost is between $500,000 and $750,000 The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials (except Government furnished), services,equipment, insurance, bonds, security notifications, licenses, permits, and fees in accordance with applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements to complete the specified work. Any miscellaneous labor, equipment and/or materials not specifically detailed or specified, but required to complete the project, shall be provided as an integral part of the work. 1.1.1 Installation of the runway MALSR Contractor shall install the MALSR as indicated on the construction drawings. Work includes: Installation of an equipment building (and providing power to building), foundations and structures for the light stations and associated building and equipment; duct bank, and parking/maintenance areas. 1.1.2 Removal/Demolition of existing facilities The old MALSR equipment shelter shall be completely removed and disposed of by the construction contractor. Work includes the removal of all above ground structures, foundations,pull boxes, and underground conduit and cabling within 50 ™ of the old equipment building “ with the exception of the airport ™s property. The site shall be restored (including re-paving where necessary) to match the surrounding grade, compaction, and condition. All work shall be to the satisfaction of the FAA and the Airport. The contractor shall provide documentation to the FAA Project Engineer certifying that all material has been disposed of properly. Any proprietary information submitted will be protected if appropriately marked. Vendor participation in any informational session is not a promise of future business with the FAA.
