Description
The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for Small Business, HUBZone, Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISTION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only. The scope includes the demolition and replacement of the Entry Window/Door assemblies in each living unit for the four (4) dormitory facilities 31212, 31213, 31215 and 31216. Each building comprises three (3) existing floors with single loaded corridors on each side of the building. Each entry assembly consists of one (1) existing 3ft x 7ft exterior metal door, one (1) existing window approximately 3ft x 4ft in size, one (1) metal panel which provides access to an existing fan coil unit located at the floor line on the interior and a single assembly hollow metal frame that encompasses the entire assembly. Shall supply a new insulated metal frame and insulated hollow metal exterior door along with a thermally broken aluminum window with integral screen. The project shall provide for a new insulated panel to cover the existing fan coil unit. The unit will be temporarily disconnected from hot and chilled water piping and then re-connected after new door/window assembly is put into place. The Air Force intends to award a contract with a 180 day period of performance. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $500,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS Code: 238350 Size Standard: $14M. Prime contractors who are Small Business, HUBZone, EDWOSB, or SDVOSB and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation are highly encouraged to submit the following by 3:00 p.m. (local Dayton time) on 29 April 2013: Responses should include the following: (1) a positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) date of HUBZone certification; and/or (3) documentation of SDVOSB status; and/or (4) EDWOSB and must provide information IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.1503; and (5) listing of capabilities and/or experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with their phone numbers, and an explanation of the relevancy of the project (limit to 5 single-sided pages); (6) documentation from surety or their agent of your capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds for this project; (7) If you are a HUBZone considering a joint venture that has not been formalized, you will need to specify the firm(s) you intend to partner with and how you plan to officially form the joint venture. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on the availability of interested HUBZone, EDWOSB, or SDVOSB concerns. Responses shall be limited to 5 pages. Please include your DUNS Number or CAGE Code on your response. Failure to submit all information requested would result in a contractor being considered "non-responsive" in this requirement. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in Federal Business Opportunities.
