Description

The VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System (VAPHS) intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Immucor, 3130 Gateway Drive, PO Box 5625, Norcross, GA 30091-5625 for maintenance, support, and service for Immucor-procured and installed ECHO equipment with S/N M00453 located at VA Medical Center, University Drive C, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i) (only 1 responsible source) as it is believed that only Immucor can provide maintenance, support and service for the ECHO equipment/systems they designed, procured, and installed under previous contract. This notice of intent is not for competitive quotes. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number is 334516. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document is available. However, parties may express their interest accompanied by supporting literature by email to Cheryl Honick, Contracting Officer, no later than April 16, 2:01 ET. Responses should be sent to cheryl.honick@va.gov. No telephone responses will be accepted. Information received will be for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations. The determination to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the VAPHS Contracting Officer.
