Description
The Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville, Kentucky has a requirement for a General Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment and expert supervision needed to refurbish hallways on the 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th floors of the main hospital (building #1). Work will include but is not limited to removal of asbestos containing materials, removing and providing vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring, acoustical ceiling tile and grid, new wall paint, base trim, door and certain other work in accordance with the Statement of Work, VA specification and applicable drawings. To minimize disruption of daily hospital operations, work shall be performed during evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Solicitation to be available for download on or by April 22, 2013. NAICS code 236220 is applicable to this requirement. The small business size standard is $33.5M. The construction magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This requirement is a 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses under the authority of 38 U.S.C. 8127(d). Compliance will exist among eligible SDVOSB listed and viewable in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) located at https: //www.vip.vetbiz.gov. Status as a qualified SDVOSB concern is under the authority of 38 CFR Part 74 in accordance with the VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) Part 819. Eligibility determination is performed by the Center for Veterans Enterprises (CVE). At the time of proposal submission and prior to award, an eligible SDVOSB firm shall be both listed and viewable in the Vendor Information Pages. The concern must be viewable on the database listing to be considered an eligible SDVOSB.
