- The above solicitation is hereby amended to address the following vendor question: Question: Must be able to provide continuous, overlapping ranges of resistance or current calibration when used with a set of CCC windings having a binary-scale build-up between 1 and 2048 inclusive, for ratios up to at least 200-to-1; "Continuous and overlapping ranges" are specified as a set of measurement configurations that will allow a resistor of any value between 0.01 Ohm and 1 MOhm to be calibrated directly against a resistor of one or more decade-value levels within the same resistance range; It is not clear what this paragraph really means. Can we get some further explanation of this requirement? Answer: The CCC bridge system must enable a comparison of arbitrary-value resistors up to a resistance ratio of 200-to-1 without significant increase in the ratio uncertainty. Typically a "continuous and overlapping" compensation network creates partial-turns in a binary sequence, as is commonly provided in room-temperature direct current comparator bridges. The due date and time, April 23, 2013 @ 3pm EST, remains unchanged.
