Description
The Contracting Department, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for Annual Service to Advanced Life Support Cardiac Monitors/Defibrillators utilizing procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition. The required service is for repairs on Philips monitors/defibrillators to be used by firefighters within Naval Station Great Lakes Fire and Emergency Services, Great Lakes, IL. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Philips Electronics North America Corporation DBA Philips Healthcare, A Division of PENAC. The authority for use of other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed action is for services and a one year base period and four one-year option periods are anticipated, with options to extend services in accordance with FAR clause 52.217-8. The anticipated performance start date is 30 days after award of the contract. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 811219. The size standard is $19.0 million. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
