- Solicitation This notice is published for informational purposes only and not as a request for competitive quotations. The USDA Forest Service, Springfield, OR intends to award a "Sole Source" contract, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to Gregg Walker/Walker Consulting. The US Forest Service, Willamette National Forest and Walker Consulting have previously been engaged as part of a Travel Management, Subpart A planning effort. The Willamette National Forest has convened a Transportation Stakeholder Collaborative Team (TST) to help inform the analysis and public engagement strategies. The first three meetings of the TST occurred in the fall of 2012 and were facilitated by Gregg Walker, a professional facilitator from Walker Consulting. The first three meetings of that group were very successful and the group expressed a clear interest in continuing to meet and inform the Willamette National Forest's travel management analysis. For our future meetings, it is imperative to the critical mission to hire Walker Consulting to continue to provide facilitation services for this group. We have three meetings to be scheduled in May, June and July that will need facilitation, and there is a good chance that we will need additional meeting facilitation until this project is done at the end of FY2015. This facilitator must have extensive experience working with Forest Service land and travel management issues, leading and facilitating collaborative groups, and a broad experience with developing public engagement strategies. Gregg Walker of Walker Consulting meets the need for our agency as well most cost efficient and in the best interest of the Government to continue the services with Walker Consulting. This requirement will be classified under NAICS 541620. Interested persons may respond to the requirement by 4:00pm Pacific Time, April 26, 2013. The government will evaluate responses to determine if a competitive solicitation is appropriate for future acquisitions.
