Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) has a requirement for a Remote Environmental Measuring Unit S (REMUS), model number 100, Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV). The REMUS 100 UUV system is required as an additional REMUS system to support continued development and testing supplementing the already existing program sponsor inventory of REMUS systems currently supporting a variety of program efforts. This is a sole source purchase with Hydroid, Inc. of Pocasset, MA. Hydroid, Inc is the only known source that can meet the Navy ™s following requirements: 1.) Man-portable (less than 100 lbs. for a standard unit with modification) is based on the environment and conditions under which the UUV will be deployed. 2.) Energy density of at least 1.2 kWh as the energy density is based on the planned duration of the exercises and requirements for underwater speed of the UUV. Exercises will require that the UUV maintain four (4) knots through the water for a duration of at least 10 hours. NUWCDIVNPT intends to purchase the following item with Firm Fixed Price provisions: CLIN 0001 REMUS 100, Qty. 1 NAICS Code is 334511, size standard 750. Required delivery by 9/30/2013, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. All other timely offers will be considered. Further details will be released upon issue of RFQ # N66604-13-Q-0650 on 1 May 2013. Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating of DO-C9 applies.
