- Description
- This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a request for Quotations or Proposals. The Government will not reimburse contractors or responders to this notice for any costs incurred in responding or in any subsequent exchange of information. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any private sector input as a result of the market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. All proprietary and restricted information shall be clearly marked. Any documentation provided will not be returned. All interested sources are invited to provide responses to the questionnaire. Please submit responses to the questionnaire electronically as one complete document in the questionnaire structure in a format chosen by the responder. If the Government furnishes interface/envelope drawings for the AN/PRC-155 HMS Manpack Radio, address how your company will accomplish the following: 1. Could an accurate repair cost for each of the radio's major components be determined? Could your company test, diagnose, and verify the technical performance for each of the major radio components following repair? Assuming a failure of one of the radio's major components, what would be the estimated timeframe to complete all associated repair actions? 2. Could your company provide Field Service Representatives (FSR) to perform troubleshooting procedures and conduct minor repair support at CONUS and OCONUS field locations? What period of time would be necessary for your company to begin to furnish FSR support at CONUS and OCONUS field locations? 3. Would you be able to produce the radio components? How long would it take for you to have this capability? After the production line becomes operational, what would be the production ramp-up schedule for each of the radio components specified? 4. If provided the original digital copy, could you revise the operational and technical manuals based on changes to hardware or software baseline? 5. Do you have the capability to conduct safety assessment testing and provide a report? 6. Could you maintain the software baseline, provide necessary update, and update the applicable software documents and training materials? Interested parties should submit the requested information no later than 1500 hrs EST on 1 May 2013 by email to matthew.j.connolly1.civ@mail.mil. When submitting responses, please reference RFI No. W15P7T-13-R-00155 in the Subject Line. The Government does not guarantee that questions received will be answered. Answers to questions may be distributed to all interested bidders unless the question is identified as propriety. Telephone responses will not be accepted.
