- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE: The Department of Veterans Affairs New England Healthcare System (VISN 1) has a requirement for a Network Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Contract. The services include recurring pickup, delivery, and routine service/refurbishment of DME, support and services for veteran patients in the New England States. Contractor(s) will be required to provide delivery, set-up, instructions-in-use, storage and/or pick up and routine service/refurbishment of DME. The Government intends to solicit and award a contract(s) for a base year with four (4) one (1) year options. The Government may award a single contract or multiple contracts up to two. The areas of responsibility include the Northern Area, which includes the States of VT, NH, and ME; and the Southern Area, which includes the States of CT, MA, and RI. Both areas require coverage for those patients that may live across the state border in New York. Award will be for either area or both. The successful contractor(s) shall meet or exceed the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. This requirement will be a matter of solicitation compliance. Award will be based on evaluation factors including Technical Capability; Past Performance; and Price. This notice is published to determine sources capable of providing the services required. Those companies capable and interested in a near future procurement should respond via email to Judith.Ruggiero@va.gov; subject line to read: "Sources Sought Response - DME" and provide the following information: (1) name of company; (2) DUNS Number; (3) POC with phone number and email address; (4) socio-economic status (very important); (5) Interest in Northern Area, Southern Area, or Both; (6) statement regarding Joint Commission Accreditation or ability to meet Joint Commission Standards. Respondents must be currently registered in SAM. Providing DUNS number for verification purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION REQUEST. A solicitation will be published in the near future - set aside requirements to be determined based on information received in response to this notice. Responses due by close of business April 24, 2013.
