- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) - Tenant Contracting Division, 6001 Combat Drive, APG, Maryland, 21005 has a requirement to procure the following: (1) ATOS ScanBox Robotic Measurement cell with (1) ATOS II Triple Scan w/ Blue Light Technology The intended delivery date for these items is 30 May 2013. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Capture 3D, Incorporated, a registered small business. This firm is the original and sole developer/manufacturer/distributor of the ATOS ScanBox system in the United States, and there are no authorized resellers able and authorized to provide and install the required system at this time. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334513 and the business size standard is 500 employees. All responses received within fourteen (14) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchased order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Time, 1 May 2013. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
